I want my work as a filmmaker to reflect my values and tell the stories of people who don't often  see themselves reflected on screen. When it came time to submit my proposal for my senior thesis, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put my ideas into action and I embarked on the process of creating a short film that gave a voice to gender non-binary students through interviews, research, and my personal relationships with transgender and gender fluid students. I wrote the script for Pride Bound based off those interactions and completed the film in June 2016.

In this film, I explored the cyclical nature of humanity and the transience of our structures through two gas stations: one thriving and one abandoned.
